Marcy Kornreich

Hi, I’m Marcy Kornreich, co-director of Camp Young Judaea. I always tell people that I loved CYJ as a camper because it was the one place where I really felt free to be my true, authentic self. I still feel that way every summer when I walk into the dining hall for the first meal and see all those happy, excited faces!! I started as a camper in 1968 and was a staff member, first on the Waterfront for several years and then as Drama Director. After graduating from Brandeis University, I pursued a career in journalism and eventually taught journalism at a local college for five years. I continue to do freelance writing and editing, as well as supporting, promoting and participating in social action programs in my “spare time.” Returning to CYJ was the greatest gift ever, not just for me, but for our entire family. With three children as former campers and now staff members, we see first-hand the incredible life-changing impact of being a part of CYJ. We view our relationship with parents as an essential partnership. We are all focused on the same goal: ensuring that your child is making friends and having a wonderful, memorable summer in a safe and supportive Jewish cultural environment. Please always feel free to call us with any questions, concerns, feedback or if you just want to talk!!  You can always reach me at marcy@campyoungjudaea.com
