Meet the Director
Hi, I'm Ken Kornreich, executive director of Camp Young Judaea.

My association with CYJ dates back to 1963, when I started as a shy and anxious camper. Later, I worked for years at YJ, first on the kitchen crew and then on the maintenance crew. My first "date" with my wife Marcy occurred in girls' area while delivering snack in 1974. Following graduation from college, I joined the "real world" in 1979 and figured I would have to enjoy YJ vicariously through family members who still worked at or attended camp.

In 1992, I left a career in real estate development to return to camp as director. I love working with children and families and relish the opportunity to wear shorts year round! Our children Rachel, Kayla, and Ari are all growing up in a wonderful, warm camp environment -- a place that's safe, fun, and supportive, a place where they can celebrate their Jewish heritage in a positive, meaningful way, a place where lifelong friendships are made and happy memories are created. We'd love your children to join us!
